Heer for Sweets has been a dream of mine for a while now! Baking has always been a passion of mine but I didn’t come to realize that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life until a few years ago. Even though the process was all of a sudden, as soon as I stepped foot on campus, I knew that was where I belonged. I learned so much while I was at The Culinary Institute of America. I am forever grateful for the wonderful people I met, the chefs that saw a future in me and most of all my family and friends who supported me every step of the way! Without all your love and support, I wouldn’t be where I am today! I can’t wait to keep practicing what I love and bringing smiles to people through my baking! Why Heer For Sweets? Growing up in America, with an Indian name, has always been a challenge for me. I always got the name jokes, Starbucks employees would not say my name correctly, and every time there was role call, it was always a struggle! Since the pronunciation of my name went from Heer to Here, I thought to myself, how can I incorporate my name into my branding?
